Whedon Calls Death Knell For Firefly:
Ant writes “Entertainment Weekly is reporting on the end of Firefly.” From the article: “Alas, Whedon’s fond memories are also tainted by Serenity’s status as a franchise nonstarter; despite Universal’s best marketing efforts, the film only mustered $25 million. ‘In the end, it was what it was: a tough sell,’ says Whedon, adding that it appears the Firefly saga has reached its conclusion. He has no regrets — and he’s moving on.”
A sad day. Firefly was not given a chance by the networks or Serenity by the movie production company. I think DVD sales will be very good though and know I will be buying it for my collection as soon as I can.

  2. I really hope EW is WRONG! I will be picking up the DVD Real Soon Now Also! Reporters taking comments out of context, this is really getting old, I hope blogging really takes off and gets rid of some of this junk reporting.

  3. I picked up the DVD last night @BestBuy and noticed that there were not many copies available. Hopefully, that means they are selling well.
